3. What is Remy Hair?

Remy hair means the cuticle is going in the same direction. Hair is composed of inner cortex and outer cuticle. The cuticle is like feathers overlapping and laying on the cortex. If these feathers are not laying in the same direction on every hair strand that you have applied to your head, you will have horrible matting throughout the strand with other hairs. Your own hair, of course, is all laying in the same direction. But, even then, you sometimes need a surface conditioner (cream rinse). This could be due to wear and tear from length, perming, bleaching, tinting, chlorine, sun, fluorescent lights, etc.
